IMPRESSED WITH BAY OF PLENTY. Per Press Association. WHAKATANE, October 11. Professor Smith and party arrived at Whakatane, and were met by Mr P. Keegan, president of the Whakatane Chamber of Commerce. Professor Smith was greatly impressed with the quality of the Rangitaiki land and stock, and made special mention of a fine mob of bullocks on the property of Mr L. Swam. The party went straight on to Opotiki, Rotorua, and other districts.
