ARRIVAL AT PICTON. £l5O COLLECTED SO FAR. (By Telegraph.—Special to “Times.”) PICTON, February 24. R. Alpe arrived at Picton at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday, all well. The collection wps big en route from Chiistchurch, and be bas gathered £l5O up to date. He leaves Picton for Nelson on Monday morning. He will receive petrol and billeting free along the route. Alpe had big welcomes from the towns en route and good send offs. R. Alpe is making a tour from Christchurch to Christchurch by way of Kaikoura, The ton, Nelson, and the West Coast. He is collecting for the (Sir Arthur Pearson Memorial Fund for the Blind.
