RIFLE SHOOTING

WELLINGTON SHIELD MATCHES. The senior and junior shield matches of the Wellington City and Suburban Rifle Clubs’ Union were fired at Trentliam on Saturday afternoon. A strong wind made the shooting very difficult. The shooting at tho 300 yards range occupied somewhat more time than was expected, with tlie result that it was not possible to complete the 600 yards range.
