MESSAGE FROM ADMIRAL GILLY. In response to a farewell message forwarded to Admiral Gilly and toe officers and men of the French cruiser Jules Michelet on behalf of the New Zealand forces, the . General Officer Commanding (Major-General Sir E. W. O. Ohaytor) has received the following reply:— "During the whole of our sojourn in New Zealand we have felt that ofir hearts, and thosfe of our brothers -in arms in the Dominion beat with the same rhythm. The French Navy felt it a privilege and a great honour to have brought the greetings of Franoo and the dead of the Great War to the returned officers and soldiers and the officers and men on active service in the Dominion.”
