THOMPSON WILL

DISPUTE OYER ADMINISTRATION OF ILFORD VICTIM’S ESTATE. A sequel to the murder of Mr Percy Thompson, at Ilford, on October 4th, came before Mr Justice Russell in the Chancery Division, when Mr Nesbitt moved for the appointment of a receiver of the dead man’s estate pending the granting of letters of administration. Counsel said defendant to the motion was the widow, who had been committed for trial on the capital charge. (She has since been hanged.) The estate was about £looo—but there were things that required immediate attention. The motion was assented to, with the exception that he suggested the appointment of deceased’s brother, to which the widow objected. Mr Cair said Mrs Thompson stated that there were among her husband’s assets a large number of her own, and a sealed packet at the bank which contained both their wills, in which each party left the other the whole of his or her assets.
