ALLIES TO RESUME CONTROL. WARNING TO LITHUANIA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association PARIS, January 17. The Ambassadors’ Conference has decided to send to Memel immediately a commission to create a provisional government, which, under Allied authority, will be given the task of restoring order. The Lithuanian Government will then be reminded of its grave responsibilities, and asked to take all practicable means of inducing Lithuanian inhabitants of the Memel area to accept the commission’s authority.
