“I’LL FIX YOU”
INCIDENT AT NEW PLYMOUTH. MAN AND A REVOLVER. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, January 18. An unusual incident, and one about which there were some menacing features, took place in the main street here last night, as the result of which a man, Anthony Kelly, appeared in court this morning to answer a series of charges arising out of the occurrence. The charges were: (1) Of assaulting a constable by presenting an unloaded revolver at him, saying, “I’ll fix you”; (2) with resisting a constable in the execution of his duty ; (3) with carrying firearms without a license; (4) with having in his possession an unregistered revolver; and (5) with presenting an unloaded revolver at a constable.
The magistrate sent Kelly to gaol for one month, and inflicted fines totalling £l2.
