“A HALF-WAY MAN.” m PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, January 18. John Elderton, found guilty of loitering in Symonds street for the purpose of making bets, was fined £75. The police described him as “a halfway roan,” waking neither very b.g nor very small bets.
