KIRKWOOD-HAGEN TOUR. WHY IT WAS ABANDONED. t Mr G. 0. Sutton, . secretary of the New Zealand Golf Association, has received a letter from J. H. Kirkwood explaining why the proposed tour by H*gen and himself had to be abandoned. It was owing to the fact that there was no support forthcoming from Australia. Kirkwood states' that he and Hagen intend coming out immediately after the British open next June if there is any inducement whatever from Australia. In that case they should be here before the golfing season is oVer. Kirkwood sends 'hi® best wishes to his New Zealand golfing friends.
