NEW POLITICAL PARTY. PREPARING FOR ELECTION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 9. A convention at Dublin formed a new political party to support the present Government Party and to nominate candidates for the coming election, the aim to he to secure the unification of Ireland and the fusion of the parties previously in co-operation. STRONGHOLD CAPTURED ARMOURED BOATS AND ’PLANES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, January 9. The Free State troops captured Quaker. Island, in Loughrea, County Galway. Four defenders were killed, and the remainder t Jten prisoner. The capture vas effected with armoured boats and aeroplanes. NOT ULSTER BORDER BRITISH TROOPS WITHDRAWN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Aesociation(Received January 10, 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, January 9. The British troops which held Donegal and Fermanagh have evacuated Pettigo and other border towns. They have been replaced by Free State forces.
