BOARD REPLIES TO LONDON IMPORTERS. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has forwarded the following reply to cable messages recently reoeived from the British. Incorporated Society of Meat Importers, London, relative to the question of the retention of kidneys in lambs:—“ln reply to your cables, are yon aware that the hoard bad already endeavoured to meet the position Ry allowing freezing companies to remove kidneys and kidney-fat from heavy lambs, and also from any other lambs containing too much kidney-fat should they so desire P Certain freezing companies ignored- the board’s wishes in the matter and .continued taking out kidneys from all lambs, including light lambs and second-class. Considering the number of lambs x>f all weights which have already gone forward for years, cannot understand your concern about taint.”
