ALLECED THEFT OF METAL

LARGE AMOUNT INVOLVED. REMANDED UNTIL WEDNESDAY. Thomas Wilson Francis, aged 18 years, and Victor Lynn Norris, aged 16 years, who were remanded last week on the charge of having stolen metal valued at £1 13s 3d. the property of Jenkins and Mack. Ltd., were again before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., at yesterday morning’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court. Another charge has been preferred against the two youths. It is that of stealing 33 cwt of lead and brass scraps and brass ingots, to a total of £123, tbe property of Jenkins and Mack. Ltd. Senior-Detective Lewis asked for • remand until January 10th. The magistrate granted the remand.
