ELECTRICITY TO TAKE PLACE OF STEAM. Electricity has not been used so far for power purposes in oil drilling in Galicia, hut since the war a great deal of headway has been made, and two large oil companies are preparing to give it a trial, said Mr Albert Miller, at a meeting of the Institution of Petroleum Technologists. “The work of changing over a number of wells at present using steampower to electricity is in course ot progress,” said Mr Miller, “and the results will be watched with the greatest interest.”
