BIG INCREASE IN REVENUE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. ' MELBOURNE, January 3. . Federal revenue for the half-year ended December showed a remarkable increase as compared with the corresponding six months of the pneviou« year. The Customs revenue -was £16,459,000, an increase of £3,399,000; postal revenue £4,744,000, an increase of £232,000. .The figures for income .and other taxation receipts are not availably bnt it is understood that they hate equalled the estimates.
