’ THE A.M.P. AND DRUIDS. The announcement was made to a “Times” reporter yesterday that plans are at present being prepared by Messrs Clere and Wilßame for a big new bunding, which the Australian Mutual Provident Society intends to erect on its present site at the comer *.f Customhouse quay and Hunter, street. It is understood that the building will extend for 120 feet along Customhouse quay and 136 feet along Hunter street. The building will be of seven stories, and' it is expected it will he one of the . highest m Wellington. Tenders will probably be called about the middle of the year. A large, new building is also to be erected: shortly on Lamibton quay for the Grand Lodge, U.A.0.D., Messrs Olere and Williams having been appointed the architects.
