The animal then went on along the' street, still chased'by several men. Had it elected .to take the road into Petone. the mfiin street of the township might have witnessed some unusual Bights. However, the bull turned into the Hutt road, and there it was shot and killed by a rifle held by one of its pursuers, about half an hour later.. The injuries suffered by Mrs Senior were not of a. serious nature, and she was able ito remain at home and receive medical ( attention. She is now reported to be progressing favourably.
