Two cases of diphtheria were reported in Petone borough last month. The postal authorities have received advice from San Francisco that the R.M.S. Tahiti, which left San Francisco on the 10th instant for Wellington, has on board for New Zealand 1556 bags of mail (including 1140 from the United Kingdom), and also 287 bags of parcels. The Dunedin Hospital Board has agreed to renew the arrangement with the University Council to provide meals for the medical bursars at the Dunedin Hospital. These bursars are final-year medical students.
