Sir Keith Smith lias left for Japan and the United States to lay tho route round the world for an airplane flight next April. He declared that he was optimistic of the possibilities of such a flight, if lie could reach China before the June typhoons.

Sir Keith Smith was to have accompanied his brother, tho late Sir Roes Smith, on a flight round the world early this year, hut his brother was killed just before the flight began.
