OBITUARY
DOWAGER DUCHESS OF ALBANY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, September 2. The death has occurred of the Dowager Duchess of Albany. Princess Helena of Waldeck and Pyrmont became Duchess of Albany in 1882, when she married Prince Leopold, first Duke of Albany, an uncle of King Georgs-V. She was born in 1861. She leaves one son and one daughter. SURGEON-ADMIRAL OOLLTNGWOOD. LONDON, September 2. The death is announced of Snrgeon-Rear-Admiral George Trevor OoUingwood, aged 59. Surgeon-Rear-Admiral ~T. Colltngwood entered the navy in 1887. Ho served on the West Coast of Africa, Gambia, Benin, and Brass River.. Ho was present at the Dardanelles in the hospital ship London in 1915. He was several times mentioned.in dispatches. MR F. W. DICKINSON. LONDON, September 2. Mr Frederio W. Dickinson, a director of Reuter’s, is dead. The late Mr Dickinson had been for 43 years on the editorial staff of Reuter’s, and since 1902 had occupied the office of chief editor.
