W. M. Bannatyne and Go, advise that the Regulus will now sail from Wellington at noon to-day for Wesbport and. Greymonth.

The Ngahere, which left Wellington at 1 .p.m. yesterday for Greymouth, is expected hack at Wellington on Monday morning with a cargo of ooal.

The Komata, which is due at Wellington to-morrow morning from Wesbport, is to sail at 11 o’clock on Tuesday night on the return trip, taking passengers and general cargo. W. M. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Anchor Company’s steamer Titoki is due at Wellington on Tuesday morning from Wanganui. The vessel will sail from Wellington at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for Westport and Greymouth. The Kahika, which left Wellington last night for New Plymouth and Nelson, ie due back at Wellington on Wednesday, and will sail on the same ■ day for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru, taking cargo.

The Koromiko is to leave Dunedin at 10 a.m. to-day for Bluff, from which port she will sail on Tuesday for Oamaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on Friday next, and will sail on the same day for Auckland, taking cargo. Mr F. A. Elliott has joined the Maori as assistant purser in place of Mr J. B. Stevenson.

Captain S. Holm, of Wanganui, who has been on a visit to Dunedin, passed through Wellington yesterday by -the Holmdale on his way back to Wanganui. The Hawera has paid off her crew at Wellington as she is to undergo an overhaul on the Wellington Patent Slip.

The steamer Holmdale, which left Wellington last evening for Wanganui, is due back at Wellington to-morrow. She is to soil on Monday for Dunedin. Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton. The coastal steamer John is expected back at Wellington to-morrow from. Wanganui. She will load coke at Miramar on Monday for Lyttelton and is to sail in the evening for the latter port. From Lyttelton the vessel will proceed- to Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth.

Good progress has been made wjth work in connection "with the constrhction of the Gable End Foreland lighthouse, and operations (have now been sufficiently advanced to allow of the removal of the top of the small island preparatory to -laying the foujndnfion for the light. -Staircases and approaches have been constructed, hut bad weather has considerably hindered the progress of tho work.

The Maindy Lodge is to leave Wellingto nto-day for Newcastle, where she will toad ooal again for New Zealand. THE SYDNEY BOAT. - Cable news has been received hv the Union Company that their intercolonial passenger steamer Moeraki sailed from Sydney at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday'direct for Wellington. The vessel is bringing 157 passengers. , Sho is due at Wellington on Monday afternoon and. will sail at 11 a.m. next Thursday on the return ' trip to Sydney. PORT NAPIER DUB TUESDAY. The C. and D, Lino advise that, the Port Napier, now ‘ discharging ‘ London cargo at;.- Auckland, is due at .Wellington on Tuesday to continue unloading. She will complete discharge at Dunedin and will then load at blew Zealand ports for, London, sailing-Homewards early in October. MARINERS WARNED. As the Government steamer Tutanekai, now landing stores at the lighthouses on tho . East Coast, cannot. get to the Hen and Chickens before next Thursday, to relight the light-which has become extinguished, the Marine. Department has arranged to broadcast a wireless message for seven . nights warning mariners that the light is out. The danger of mishap will thereby be reduced to a minimum. SHAW.SAVILL BOATS. The Shaw, Savill and. Albion Company advise that the Gallio will sail from Wellington at. 6 o’clock this morning for London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe. . The company have been notified by cable that the Arawa arrived at Monte Video laet Wednesday morning from Wellington, en route to Southampton and London. The'vessel sailed from Wellington, on August 9th. Cable advice has bsen received by the company that the Waimana left London on August 31st cargo-laden for Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, via Panama The vessel is due at the Otago port on October 9th. A cable message recoived by the company announces that the Waiwera left London bn August 30th, cargo-laden for Australian ports. THE YOSHING MARU. Burns, Philp and Co.; local agents for the Nippon Yusen Kaisha, advise that the steamer Yoshing Maru, formerly the German passenger liner Kleist, is replacing the Nikko Maru in the Australian ana Eastern service. The Yoshing Maru was built in 1906 at the F. Schichau Shipbuilding Yards, Danzig, ■ and was used by the North German Lloyd in their Far Eastern service before the war. After the restoratibn of pbaee the vessel was allotted Ry the Reparations Committee at Paris to the Japanese Government, and her operation has since been entrusted to the Nippon Yusen Kaisha. The Yoshing Maru embodies all the developments and facilities for safety and ooraiort that had been attained by Germany The passenger accommodation is luxurious and roomy, and there are a children's nursery and gymnasium. Three classes are provided for passengers.-

RUAHINE LEFT HOME. The New Zealand Shipping Company have been advised by cable that the Ruahine left Southampton on Thursda last, with passengers apd cargo, for Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is due at Auckland about October 10th and at Wellington a week later. THE PORT SYDNEY. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Sydney, which was loading at Gisborne yesterday, is expected at Wellington from that port to-morrow night to complete her cargo. The vessel will leave Wellington on Wednesday for London, via Monte Video. THE WESTMORELAND. The Federal Line advise that the Westmoreland will now leave Gisborne on Monday evening for Wellington, where she is due on Wednesday morning to fill up. The vessel is now timed to sail from Wellington next Friday for London, via Avonmouth, Liverpool. Manchester and Glasgow. CORINNA RESUMES. The Union Company's cargo steanie: Corinna, which has been iaid up ai Dunedin, is about to he recommissioned Capfain A. H. Prosser will take command and his officers will be: Chief, Mr H. A. Anderson; second,- Mr N. E. Bowater; third, Mr B. F. Fisher; chief engineer, Mr A. Inverarity; second, Mr J. R. Lorraine; third, Mr W. M. Jackson.
