BRUTAL ASSAULT
VICTIM AN OLD MAN. J George Grant alias Jack Grant alias William. Ryan appeared before Mir F. K. Hunt, 6.M., at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, on a charge of assaulting Louis Lister. . Sub-Inspector MaNamara stated that the accused: had aooosted Lister, who was an old man, and had asked him for some money. In oomaequemoe. of hia refusal to comply with this request the complainant had been brutally assaulted. Grant was fined £5 and 24a.costs, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
