ISLAND PLATFORM
TRAMWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT COURTENAY PLACE. The City Council last evening adopted a proposal for alterations to the tramway tracks at Courtenay place to provide for an island platform between tho lines, which are to be relaid in new positions. A cantilever verandah is also to be constructed over the platform and tracks. The scheme will necessitate considerable alteration in the plantation, and will be proceeded wtih.aa soon a* possible. Conveniences are to be provided for both men and women.
