HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

NARCISSI SHOW NEXT WEEK. The affiliation scheme propounded by the Wellington Horticultural Society has been exceptionally well received by suburban socieies, and each will make a big bid at the Narcissi Show to be held in the Town Hall Concert Chamber next week to annex the R. A. Wright Trophy as well as the gold me. daLs allocated specially to suburban growers. In the’ open class there will be the finest exhibits that Wellington flower lovers have ever seen staged at the society's shows to date. Schedules have been called for from a large number of bulb growers as far north as Gisborne on the one side and Taranaki on the other. Unfortunately, the show is rather eariy for South Island growers, otherwise they would be in competition.
