The question of providing greater facilities for the specialised education of journalists was under consideration at the annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists’ Association, held to-day, and a resolution was carried urging tKe Government to give immediate effect to the provisions of section 33 of the New Zealand University Amendment Act, 1914, and to grant to the Board of Governors of Canterbury College the subsidy payable in respect of the gift of £3OOO made by Mr Robert Bell, of Christchurch, for the purpose of providing educational facilities for those desiring to fake up the profession of journalism. It was also decided to urge the Board of Governors of Canterbury College to renew its request for the subsidy on Mr Bell’s grant. ■
