A meeting has been proposed between the Transport and General Workers’ Union ana the National Union of Sailors and Firemen, with a view to the discussion of a scheme of amalgamation. A HUGE SCHEME. The Municipal Employees’ Associa. tion, the National Amalgamated Union of Labour, and the National Union of General Workers are balloting on an amalgamation scheme. If they approve of this they will be the strongest union in Britain, with a membership of half a million.
