UNEMPLOYMENT
RETURNED SOLDIERS* DONATION The 'Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association has forwarded to the Mayor £72 15s 7d, to be devoted towards keeping returned soldiers in employment on relief works. In response to the request of the association, £25 will be spent on beautifying the surroundings of the Brooklyn war memorial, and the balance will be expended as the City Council thinks proper. The donation will be eubsidieed £ far £. A.Z.A. has forwarded £5 to the Unemployment Fund, and a collection for the same purpose taken up at Oriental Bay rotunda on Sunday bv the Boys 1 Institute Band provided £2 la 2d.
