A SERIOUS LOSS
BIG FIRE IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received August 18, 10.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 18. A fire at the Hydro Majestio at Medlow Bath caused damage estimated at £40,000. The fire started in the early hours of the morning, and, fanned by a terrific gale, soon got out of control and destroyed the famous oorridor of tho Art Gallery and finally left half the building in ruins.
