ENGLISH NEWSPAPER STRIKE. Reuter’s Telearam. (Received August 18, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, August 17. The printers’ dispute, which has so long disorganised the provincial newspaper world, has been settled. As the result of a conference the Typographical Association agreed to recommend the strikers to resume immediately on a reduction of 3s weekly, also to ballot on the acceptance of a gradual total reduotion of 12s 6d.
