The censure amendment in the Federal House of Representatives, condemning the Government for failure to deal with the dumping of cheap imported goods, was defeated by 38 votes to 17. Mr Catts voted with the Government, after hotly attacking the Labour movement and charging it with corruption against sections of the previous Government of New South Wales. The Supply vote was passed for £2,500,000 for one month. The Budget was promised early its. the session.
