A JUDICIAL COMMITTEE
ON THEI RUGBY UNION. At last night's meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union the following notice of motion was given by Mr G. F, Jackson. That rule 14 of club contests bo rescinded and the following substituted:— | "That a judicial committee of three, consisting of the chairman of the management committee, the chairman of the Referees' Association, and another, be appointed to deal with all cases of playete ordered off the field by referees. Both the referee and the player ordered off shall appear before such committee at ita first meeting after the ordering off, and any player failing to so appear shall be suspended until he does appear. The judicial committee shall have full power to impose suspensions subject to formal confirmation by the management committee." Rule 14 above referred to reads taus? ’Tn the case of any player being ordered off the field bv the referee both the referee and the offending player shall attend at the next meeting the management committee at 8 p.m.
