CHARITY GAMES
RUGBY UNION AND CITY COUNCIL. At the weekly meeting of the management committee of tne Wellington Rugby Union last night, a letter from the CSty Council was read acknowledging receipt of the union’s intimation that the proceeds of matches played on June 17th would be donated to charitable purposes. The council regretted that they could not see their way to waive their eharge of 20 per cent, of the gate takings at the city reserves.
