“SURPRISE AND REGRET.” >EB PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, June 2. A meeting of. lihe local branch of the British Medical Association adopted the following resolution: “The Canterbury, division of the British Medical Association wishes "to express its surprise and regret that the Direc-tor-General of 'Health should have met Dr. Blackmore’s specific charges (concerning accommodation and treatment of consumptives), whioh we regard as substantially correot, by merely casting unpleasant aspersions on the medical profession generally. It is a matter of common knowledge that there is always a waiting list fox admission to the Canterbury Sanatorium, frequently including urgent cases.”
