WHAT OF SIR GEORGE YOUNGER? Australian and N-Z. Cable Association (Received June 1, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON May 31. It is reported that Sir J. L. Baird. M.P., will be the Unionist candidate at Ayr Burghs next election in succession to Sir George Younger, who has been little heard of politically lately. This is taken to indicate his approaching elevation to the peerage.
