AUSTRALIA V. WELLINGTON
BASIN RESERVE ON SATURDAY. All roads should lead to the Basin Reserve on Saturday, when the Australian XI. will meet the Wellington boys, and one of the best game 6 of the season should be fielded. It is going to be a hard game, for the visitors followed up their victory at Wanganui by yesterday defeating Nelson, 8-2. However the Wellington tea in will he a different proposition, for they aro trained up to the minute. The game will be in the nature of a classic, for both teams are equally determined upon victory. If enthusiasts say anything upon the subject it is only to venture an opinion that there will only be the odd goal in it, but which /way Saturday will tell. The Australians will field their best team, for the keenness on this occasion almost equals that of a test match. The gate is the popular one of la Id, a step, but patrons are asked to tender the correct sum at the gate to avoid the necessity of giving change.
