A SERIOUS CHARGE
FOLLOWS AFFILIATION CASE. “AN ALLEGED NOXIOUS THING.” Francis Eden (Mr H. F. O’Leary), was charged with, at Wellington, on December 3rd, 1921, he did attempt to unlawfully supply to a woman, a certain noxioua thing, knowing same to be unlawfully used in an attempt to procure miscarriage. It was stated that the man had been arrested on Tuesday, and a remand until June 7th was asked. In asking for bail, Mr O’Leary said the charge really arose out of the affiliation proceedings heard in tbo court a few weeks ago. The remand was granted, hail being ■fixed in the sum of £IOO with one simitar surfafcy.
