N.S.W. SOCCER TEAM
PROPOSED ITINERARY. SUBJECT TO ALTERATION. : Tile itinerary of the Australian Soccer team which is to play throughout New Zealand in May, was received from Thomas Cook and Sons, .at the meeting of the Council of the' New Zealand Football Association last night. The following is subject to slight alteration :—■ May 18th—Leave Sydney pel Manuka. May 24th—Play at Auckland. May 27tli—Play at Wellington. May 31st —Play at Nelson. June 3rd—Play at Christchurch. June 7th—Play at Greymouth. June 10th—Play at Dunedin. June 17th —First test at Dunedin June 21st Play a,t Hamilton. June 24th—Second test at Auckland. June 2Sth—Play at New Plymouth. July Ist—Play at 'Wanganui. July oth —Third test at Wellington. July 13th—Sail for Sydney. The itinerary was referred to the itinerary .committee for perusal and report. The ultimate arrangement of the proposed itinerary, whilst not likely to be affected m the main, will be made known definitely later. On reviewing the itinerary, the committee suggested that as the Westland Association is prepared to guarantee the required amount for a match against the Australian team, they should take the place of the Southland Association on the itinerary. It was decided to recommend that the New Zealand Racing Calender should be consulted to see that there is no clashing of fixtures with race meetings. It was also decided to recommend th if necessary the teams > should not remain in Auckland after the.last match, but if the steamer arrangements are not suitable, the team should come to Wellington, and if necessary depart from there. The suggestions were adopted, and it was finally decided to place the matter of transport m the' hands of Thomas Cook and Sons in conjunction with the itinerary committee.
