COMING SCULLING CONTEST. HADFIELD AND PADDEN TRAINING STEADILY. PSB PBESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, March 30. Hadfield and Paddon are training steadily for the race for the world’s sculling championship, which takes ?lace on the Wanganui river on April Bth. The weather has interfered somewhat with the training, butt botn ■men have done solid work, both on the water and land. Paddon is still overweight, but Hadfield is in the pink of condition. Each covered the full distance to-day, pleasing their respective parties. j Much interest is being taken in the race, and many enthusiasts visit the course daily.
