OBITUARY

JAMES TATE, COMPOSER AND COMEDIAN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, February 6. James Tate, the composer and comedian, is dead. James William Tato was at one time musical director of the Carl Rosa Opera Company, but gave up his musical career to go on the stage. He composed some, of the musical numbers of ‘'Maid of the Mountains,” and wrote a number of revues and popular songs.
