The French delegates to the U&bour Conference insist that the agricultural question can only be examined, from a national viewpoint, not international. France declines to accept the conference’s decisions on the subject. AGRICULTURAL LABOURERS’ [HOURS. {Received October 30, 5.5 p.m.) GENEVA, October 28. The Labour Conference, by 64= vote® to 39, passed a resolution in favour of an eight-hour day for agricultural labourers, but the vote, being below the required two-thirds majority, the item had to be withdrawn from the agenda paper.
