YOUTHFUL BURGLARS

BEFORE JUVENILE COURT. TO RECEIVE A BIRCHING. Two youthful Dick Duvals appeared before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court (juvenuile session) on Saturday. The charges against the boys, who were aged 10 and 11 years, were of breaking and entering a shooting gallery owned by Leonard Cook in Manners street on July 17th and stealing'" 80s in money. Another charge was of breaking and entering Markhams, Ltd., in Manners street, where they obtained £4 in money and £3 worth of goods. A previous conviction for theft was entered against both lads in September last. The magistrate decided to hold the matter over for _ three months, the bids to he placed in a home meantime. Both of them are to receive a birching.
