AT FEILDING FREEZING WORKS. ;

Further details are to hand of the ■ad fatality which occurred at the Feilding freezing works on Saturday morning. A young man named A. J. Saunders, of Wanganui, employed as a carpenter by Mr T. Collins, who is making additions to the buildings, had ascended the roof, and was about to commence work, when he slipped and fell a distance of about 40 .fecit His mates rushed to his assistance, but found that he was in a serious condition. A doctor was summoned, and life wss pronounced to be extinct, the young man’s neck having been broken in the fall. The deceased, who was a native of Wanganui, was a returned soldier, and was highly respected hy a wide circle of friends. He was to have been married in about three weeks’ time. At the inquest on Saturday afternoon, a verdict of accidental death was returned. .
