At Toronto Todd (Australia) defeated La Framboiis (Canada), 6-2, 6-3, 6-8, 6-1. Anderson (Australia) defeated Bennett (Canada), 6-3, 6-0. 6-2. The kind of tennis the Australians have heen playing is indicated in an analysis of the last two matches. Anderson made 27 “placements and Ben-, nett 12. Anderson 19 “outs” and Bennett, 28; AndeTson 29 “nets” and Bennett 31. Todd 36 “placements” and La Framibois 26; Todd 35 “outs” and La Frambois 50; Todd 37 “nets” and La Frambois 48. PROGRAMME REARRANGED. (Received July 28, 9.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 28. It is announced that the Mauretania fire is causing delay to the Indian team for the Davis Cup. This has resnlted in the postponement for one week of tho match between India and Japan. The teams will meet at Chicago pn August 18th, 19th and 20th. The- final round has, therefore, also been postponed for a week until August 25tli, 26th and 27th. The other semi-final at Cleveland, the Australia v. England match, and the challenge round are not affected.
