At 3 o’clock to-day the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat ' Mercantile Company closed down applications in the issue of £3OO,OCX) at 7£ per cent, and ten years’, currency, secured by mortgage debentures. The issue has been, before the pubtic for exactly three weeks, and the response made is claimed by the managing director to be unprecedented in the history of the Dominion.
