MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. liAST NIGHT’S MEETEING. The above committee met in the Y.M.C.A. last evening. Mr Morpeth presided. There were also present:— Messrs Buteffer, Kirk,. Keys, Bate, Harper, Price, Stratton, Paget and Webley. The referee of the Hntt v. Wakatu match at liutt on Saturday last, wr<pte complaining of the unseemly conduct of a section of the spectators and players on the ground. Members of the committee who witnessed' the game expressed the opinion that the referee controlled -the game in a. most efficient manner, and that the demonstration was most unsportsmanlike. It was decided to ask the Hutt Club to supply an explanation, particularly as regards the alleged hooting of the referee.
It was decided to nominate Mr A. W. Manning as a selector for the North Island team to play the South Island at Christchurch.
An invitation was received from the . Nelson association to send --a junior representative team to play at Nelson.—lt was decided to comply with the request, and to ask the junior selector to choose a second team to play Nelson on the day the Junior A team plays Canterbury. • It was resolved to ask the Auckland association if it was possible to send their team, to play Wellington on the Basin Reserve on August 27th. ' It was also resolved to communicate with the Hawke’s Bay association regarding the possibility .of arranging matches with a touring Wellington representative team in September. Mr Price was appointed manager of the senior team to travel to Christchurch, and Mr Bate of the junior team. SATURDAY'S MATCHES. The results were as follow \ Senior A.—Wakatu 3 (scorers W. Scores for the winners were obtained by Johns (2) and O’Brien (2). Smith scored for Wesley; Mr F. Spiers. Junior A.—-Wesley A, 2 (James and Cfoss), defeated Hutt, nil; Mr Needham. Karori, 3 (Cox (2) and MoGavin), defeated Wesley Rovers, 2 (Collins 2); Mr Cathie. Junior B.—Wellington, 6, defeated United, 1; Mr H. Diaper. Wesley B, 2 (Caskie 2), defeated University B, l(Veitch); referee, Mr Gny. Wakatu, 4 (Stevenson 2, Smith 2), defeated Y.M.C.A., nil Mr Cathie. Third G rade.-~JTuia, 5 (Stacey 3, Newman, and Bennett), defeated Hntt, nil; Mr McKenzie. Karori, 5, defeated Y.M.C.A., nil; Mr Cusack. Univensity, 4, defeated Wesley, 1; Mr A. Roxburgh.
