FEDERAL CONSTITUTIONS
NO INVITATION TO DR. BUTLER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received June 10, 10.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. The Imperial Conference secretariat emphatically denies the report that DrButler, president of Columbia University, hag been invited to address the Imperial Conference on Federal constitutions or any subject. Air Massey Bays that the statement is, obviously unfounded because nobody is entitled to address conference except on the invitation of the conference, which is as yet net constituted.
A previous message stated:—Dr. Nicholas Murray , Butler, president of the Columbia University, has accepted Mr Lloyd George’s invitation to address the British Imperial Conference on Judo 22nd. His address, is sought in connection with the drafting of the constitution for the Empire. JHe will speak on various forms of constitutional government, explaining the United States consolidated government and the German federated government.
