NEWTOWN CLUB. PAST v. PRESENT MEMBERS. On Saturday afternoon a game. Past v Present Members, was piayed under very pleasant conditions.? The president, Mr H. Ranson, welcomed the visitors, and expressed the hope that they would enjoy the occasion. -That the present members have not fallen off in playing ability the following scores show. The Thorndon Club closes its season next Saturday, the 30th inst., when an interesting- match between members qver 55 years of age and the younger -members has been arranged. This contest is exoiting keen interest amongst the players and the veterans, several of whom are octogenarians, are very sanguine of taking their juniors down.
