STRIKE AT MADRAS
■HOTELKEEPERS AND DRIVERS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. DELHI, April 5. There is a strike of hotelkeepers and carriage drivers at Madras, as a result of an increase in the license fees. One hotelkeeper was arrested, and a mob stoned the police in an endeavour to rescue him. The police fired, killing one and wounding six.
