FARMERS’ SHIPS
WILL GOVERNMENT ASSIST? As freights were, such a very important matter in relation to New Zealand produce, was the Government prepared to assist the farmers of New Zealand in establishing shipping lines of their own? asked Mr A. S. Malcolm (Clutha), in the House of Representatives yesterday morning. The Prime Minister replied that it was such a very important policy question that he must ask the hon. member to- put it on the order paper, so that he might place the matter before his colleagues, and give him the considered opinion of Cabinet on it.
