HUTT AS TRAINING CENTRE. THE CRY OF “WOLF!” A request that a manual training centre should be provided in tho Lower Hutt distiTct was recently forwarded by tho Education Board to the Government. ■ , , At yesterday’s meeting of tho board a letter was received from the department intimating that owing to the financial situation the request could not he acceded to. It was decided to draw tho attention of the Minister to.the urgent need for a manual training branch at Lower Hutt. Mr A. J. White said they should endeavour to impress upon the Government the necessity for manual training facilities. “This ory of Wolf 1 wolf!’ he remarked, in connection with the department’s explanation that there was not sufficient money available, “is going to do no good.
