RUGBY REFEREES
ANNUAL MEETING. A meeting of the Wellington.' Rogfby Referees' saociatim was held at the i M.C.A. rooms last wees. Mr it T. Bailey presided,, about thirty members being present. An apology was received from Mr W., Perry (preeadeat). The annual report stated that the last season had been a very successful onel’he membership stood Mb S 3 <45- active and 48 honorary). In the discussion on the report, Mr Mcffitt stated he did not think that the junior members had received a fair run during last season. Mr Bailey, in reply, stated that he wag well satisfied with the working of the association, and was of opinion that tbs appointment board had given all members a. fair go." The resignation of J. Baumber was aeoepted with regret. L. Selwood wse elected a member on transfer Hum Christchurch. The election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Mr W. Perry; vicepresidents, Messrs A. Campbell and G. Feche; chairman, Mr R T. Bailey; vice* chairman, Mr A. C. Kitto; hon.- secretary. Mr C. la. Mullaney, committee, Messrs T. Fletcher, J.Moffitt. G. Bradley; delegate to New Zealand Referees' Association, Mr J. Moffitt; vice-president to New Zealand Referees' Association, Mr A. Nsilson; classification committee, left over till next meeting; appointment board, Messrs R. T. Bailey, J. Francis, and C. Mullanev; auditor, Mr H. T,*n, It was decided that a deputation from the association should wait on the Wellington- Rugby Union re the appointment of referees for the ensuing imsrunn Mmsrn R. T. Bailey, C. Muljaney and J. Moffitt were appointed. The chairman moved that a vote of thanks be accorded to the outgoing officers.—Carried by acclamation.
